Neither forged
or stamped, the metal composition is 85% iron and 14% chrome, with
trace elements of
other metals. The components are melted into a liquid solution into
which nitrogen gas is injected.
This is then cooled, and another melting sequence takes place with
a subsequent nitrogen injection.
Under an air-tight vacuum, the metal is cooled and sliced by laser
and the blade knives are laser cut from
those slices. They are then tempered after being heated with liquid
nitrogen.
The tang is perforated,
allowing the polymer of the handle to form a strong bond. Handle polymer
is an antibacterial material.
